Symptoms of IBD

The symptoms of IBD vary depend on the severity of the disease and, in the case of Crohn’s disease, the part of the gastrointestinal tract is affected.

Here are some of the symptoms:

  • Diarrhea (with or without blood)
  • Nighttime diarrhea
  • Postprandial diarrhea
  • Abdominal pain (Crohn’s)
  • Cramping
  • Fatigue
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Loss of appetite
  • Weight loss
  • Joint pain
  • Fevers
  • Chills
  • Mouth sores
  • Sore, red, inflamed eyes
  • Skin rashes or painful lesions
  • Kidney stones (Crohn’s)
